功能簡介

SMR 最主要的功能為利用DVB transport streams中多餘的空間放置data packets 和 content files ，這種技術稱之為Null Packet Optimization (NPO)，為SkyStream之專利技術，其最大的好觸為可以有效的節省頻寬的使用， SMR可以傳利用DVB transport streams中多餘的空間放置送OpenTV, Liberate, MediaHighway, DVB-MHP middleware 上層應用軟體所需之Data Information，讓服務提供者節省頻寬。另外SMR可以將數位訊號轉換成IP的方式使服務提供者之TV content 可以透過電腦或IP box 傳送到用戶端，使無論是無線電視台、有線電視台或是衛星電視台都能夠跨平台提供數位電視的服務。

功能簡介

zBand 為一套傳送streaming content或是編排download file的server-client軟體，除此之外zBand可以利用未使用的頻寬將data經由Internet, local area networks, satellite, and terrestrial transmitters透過MPEG-2 stream廣播傳送到用戶端，節省頻寬並增加頭端系統data傳送的能力，Data傳送包括檔案(files)及網頁內容(web contents)之傳送，Data儲存在local端後，local端可以更快的速度開啟，節省頻寬的使用，同時zBand可以確保data 封包的傳送，以確保接收data 封包的品質，使服務提供者能提供更高品質的服務。
